“A journey of music and the life around it, leaving audiences in awe, uplifted and inspired.”

— Diesel

Growing Pains is a powerful, story-driven theatre experience from Australian musician, Nathan Cavaleri.

While many know Nathan for his early success as a child prodigy, this show focuses on the human story behind the spotlight — navigating identity, pressure, anxiety, and finding a way back to purpose.

Blending storytelling with music, the show offers a raw, engaging and ultimately uplifting experience that resonates well beyond a traditional concert.

Why this is relevant for students

A large part of Nathan’s story unfolds during his childhood and teenage years, touching on experiences that are highly relatable for young people today, including:

- Navigating pressure and expectations

- Managing anxiety and overwhelm

- Developing identity and self-belief

- Finding direction through uncertain periods

The show creates a safe and engaging way for students to connect with these themes, through real-life storytelling rather than theory.

An opportunity for your students

“People need to hear from Nathan. His life’s journey is heart warming and heart breaking all in the same breath. He is a gifted storyteller: engaging, vulnerable, funny and compassionate. Most importantly however, he ties it all together with practical strategies that people can adopt in order to look after their mental health.”
